Either Way We Lose

No matter who wins, this country loses.  Look at the debt that has been thrust upon us to pay back.  Whether your ideals are borrow & spend or tax & spend, we the people have to pay it back.

All this back & forth, he said she said or Con this or Lib that is irrelevant.  The country is in bad shape because of these crooks in Washington on both sides of the aisle.  All this political spinning is not going to help the country.  What's going to help this country is when "we the people" admit that the solution to the problem is removing the crooks in D.C.

Think about it this way;

If you had made a mistake that led to 8000+ deaths...Would you have been given the nod to just say oooooopps?

If you had made the mistake of overspending on your credit card...would you be allowed to just say ooooopps, while someone else footed the bill for you?

Well this government has been given the ooooopps option and no one has been held accountable on either side for their failures, and it just always winds up with the same old rhetoric on the table....he said she said, or Lib this & Con that talk and nothing ever gets accomplished and gives the government an excuse.

We the people have to hold these elected officials responsible for their actions, and what sense does it make to allow the very people making the laws for us, to also make signing statements that exempt them from the very laws they have created.

One of the things that should have been corrected in government years ago is the way "they" vote on certain bills i.e. line item vs. the package plan including ear marks/pork.

Bottom line I shouldn't have to vote for something that I don't agree with in a bill, just in order to get something passed that I do agree with on the same bill.  It should all be line item and this would provide a more detailed view of where tax dollars are going.

If more money is needed on certain projects that have been proposed originally, then the Reps. for those bill's should be held accountable and have to explain why the overspending of that bill/contract has went into the red.

When it's time for re-election all these things would come into play...i.e. how much overspending occurred on this officials watch, and why he allowed it.
